Noemi Kiss

“In my work I use common building materials, banal everyday objects. Basic objects of utility have become invisible due to their self-evidence, I show them in a new light. Materials brought into unorthodox combinations ask for new viewpoints and toy with the perception of the viewer.

As a material fetishist I let collide the grown with the made. I load banal substances that feel distant to art with a new meaning. I encourage to rethink our notions of materiality, their value and how we evaluate nature.”
